Through the Deep Waters

Through the Deep Waters
by Kim Vogel Sawyers

This book was quite heartbreaking in many aspects. Dinah's upbringing in a brothel is the most heartbreaking childhood you can imagine. But even after she is able to move away from that city she is plagued by nightmares of what happened to her one night. Thankfully her new roommate is a Christian and a Pastor's kid and invites her to church and she begins to learn about God's love. Unfortunately she feels unworthy to even sit in the church pew let alone accept God's love. After many hard weeks though Dinah opens up to God's grace and forgiveness.

Of course this book is also a love story. But not a perfect love story. Dinah and Amos have plenty of trials both together and individually. Dinah with her past, Amos with his handicapped leg, and both of them with learning to love.

If you enjoy traditional Christian romance novels where boy meets girl and falls in love in spite of hard times I think you'll love this book.
